The purposes of the Mississippi Business Education Association are:

• To establish and maintain active state leadership in promotion of all types of business and technology education.
• To provide open forums and conferences for the study and discussion of all questions involved in business and technology education.
• To render assistance and advice to the Mississippi Department of Education on problems pertaining to business and technology education.
• To unify all business and technology education interests of the State of Mississippi through representative membership.
• To cooperate with other states and other organizations of individuals interested in business technology in the future development of business and technology education.
• To encourage further development of programs in business and technology education.
• To encourage a favorable attitude toward business and technology education and to promote the expansion and improvement of programs of business and technology education within the state.
